Only one attorney in each practice area and designated metropolitan region is honored as a “Lawyer of the Year.” In Best Lawyers’ annual peer-review survey, those honorees have received the highest overall peer feedback regarding their professional abilities, integrity, and expertise.

Best Lawyers is a widely respected legal referral guide that recognizes the top 5% of practicing attorneys across the U.S. Established in 1981, it relies on a peer review methodology through which existing lawyers confidentially evaluate the professional abilities of their peers within the same geographic region and legal practice area.

Ryan Scharber has been listed in Best Lawyers every year since 2023, when he was selected for recognition in the “Trusts and Estates” category. The following year, he was also selected in “Litigation – Trusts and Estates.”

Ryan joined our firm in 2009 after earning his law degree at the University of Notre Dame Law School. His legal practice encompasses estate planning, estate controversy, probate and trust administration, real estate and business law, and asset protection.
